The majority of my experience is with cruising and the neurodivergent community. I love working with first time cruisers, honeymooners, groups trips, and homeschool families. Send a message with what you are looking for and I will do everything I can to help you find the right trip for you.
A travel agent acts as a personal assistant and advocate for you. I meet you where you are in your travel planning journey, getting to know your wants and priorities to ensure that your adventure is tailored to you. Once booked, I help you however you need; from planning tours and packing lists to last minute flight cancellations and in destinations emergencies. I am your point of contact from planning through your return home. Furthermore, I do not charge a planning fee for my services, so all I add is value.
Yes, most likely. A history of being sick on a boat doesn't necessarily mean you will get sick on a cruise. If on an ocean cruise, since it is such a large vessel and equipped with stabilizers, you do not feel the movement as much. Or a river cruise doesn't usually have any real movement and is a very calm experience on the water. However, if you are worried your seasickness will stop you from enjoying a cruise, let me know during your consultation. You may want to consult with your doctor about prescription options and if they would be right for you. There is a patch that can be worn behind the ear, for example, which does wonders for a lot of cruisers and is very discreet. As for OTC options, you can try Dramamine or Bonine (generic options available). For natural options, there are Seabands (work with the pressure points in your wrists), ginger candies (prepackaged, bought, still sealed foods can be brought onboard most cruise lines), or fresh green apples (found in the buffet, room service or main dining room, depending). We can also make sure to select a time of year and itinerary with calmer waters. Communication and preparation are key!
Probably not, but that is exactly why it is important to work with a travel agent. Cruise lines all offer a slightly different experience from one to another, and even within a cruise line, they can have several ships with very different offerings and atmospheres. During your consultation, we will discuss your travel preferences and priorities, making sure to find the right sailing for you.
In most cases, only a deposit is required to secure your booking. However, if you are booking short notice, with four months' notice or less for ocean cruises and one month or less for resorts, the entire payment will be required to complete the booking. This varies company to company, so we will discuss the payment options for your particular vacation. Additionally, airfare is due at the time of booking.
